6 Simple ways to keep your home clean

Sometimes I feel like I spend my time cleaning. As soon as I finish doing all my chores, I have to start at the beginning again because everything is already dirty. Cleaning is really a job that never ends.
On the other hand, I have discovered several simple tips that help me space out my cleaning tasks a bit.
If you, too, are interested in keeping your home clean without spending all your time cleaning, read my 6 simple ways to keep your home clean longer and without making more effort!
1. USE MULTIPLE DOORMATS
The first thing I did was to invest in large, thick doormats and rugs outside and inside all of my doors.
We don’t take our shoes off the minute we step inside, so these large doormats help me stop dirt at the door and space out mopping the floors.
If you can, buy doormats and rugs that you can easily shake out instead, that way you only have to shake them out well to get rid of any dust.
2. USE DRY WIPES TO DUST
Another effective tip is to dust with special household dry wipes like Swiffer or, if you don’t have any at home, fabric softener sheets.
These dry wipes allow you to dust all surfaces, televisions, computer screens and all electronic devices easily since the sheets grab all the dust and even make sure that the dust doesn’t grab as fast afterwards.
So after dusting this way, your house smells great!
This trick doesn’t work on all surfaces (like glass surfaces), but it works great for most wood surfaces, baseboards or any electronics.
3. DISCLAIMER
My favorite tip for keeping a clean house (and the one I find by far the most effective) is to get rid of clutter.
The less unnecessary stuff you have lying around your home, the cleaner and neater your home will look.
It’s important to clear out all the places and storage areas where you store things (drawers, closets, storage units) because that’s where the things you use the least get hidden and take up space. To know
In addition to that, if you want to avoid unwanted insects or mice (yes, they can visit you if you have a house in the country!
As for insects or moths, unfortunately, you can never be sure of finding them in your apartment), the first thing to do is to keep dust as far away from your home as possible.
So do a big spring cleaning every time you have a sale, for example, when you know you’ll be filling the house with lots of new things again.
This will also help you to think more easily about the things you need to replace or that you don’t have room to store.
Think about giving away clothes, toys and any decorative items you want to get rid of, you can make people happy with your items that you no longer use!
4. DO YOUR LAUNDRY
Get into the habit of putting your dirty laundry directly into a dirty laundry basket and putting your clean laundry away as soon as it’s washed and dry.
I’ve found that the best way to do this is to have multiple baskets and no laundry bin.
A basket in each room and in the bathroom allows you to put dirty laundry out of sight and helps you keep the house tidy.
You then simply take the baskets to do your laundry and sort, wash and store the laundry right there.
If you don’t have a laundry bin to store your clothes, you’ll be less tempted to leave clean laundry lying around in the bin for days.
It also saves you from having laundry bins that take up space and just beg to be filled.
5. KEEP CLEANING PRODUCTS ON HAND
A pack of cleaning wipes on the edge of your kitchen or bathroom sink is much more pleasing to the eye than traces of dirt and lime scale.
I like to keep my sponges and wipes out so I can clean my sink or table every time I use it.
It’s a quick and easy way to keep them clean, get rid of any streaks, and it saves me from having to clean a huge amount of dirt all at once that builds up very quickly.
6. KEEP SOME TIME AND A SPECIFIC DAY TO DO YOUR HOUSEWORK
My last piece of advice is to set aside time and if possible a specific day to do your cleaning.
I do as little cleaning as possible during the week because I don’t have much time, but I keep Monday evening after work to do my cleaning.
I chose this day because I hate Mondays anyway, and I’d rather continue to be in “work” mode than take the weekend off to do chores.
Choose the day of the week that suits you best.
Just make sure you have time, are quiet and undisturbed while you dutifully do your housework all over.
This is the best way to keep your home clean and tidy all the time.
